How the summary is made
This tool uses extractive summarizing. It finds the words that appear most often in your text, scores every sentence by how many of those key words it contains, and keeps the highest scoring sentences in their original order. The summary is made of your own sentences, not new wording, so it stays faithful to the source. It cannot understand meaning the way a person does, so always read the result before you rely on it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an AI summarizer?
No. It is an extractive summarizer that picks the most important existing sentences using word frequency. It does not rewrite or invent text.
How long should my text be?
At least three sentences are needed. Longer articles give better results.
Can it summarize text in other languages?
It works with most languages that separate sentences with full stops, question marks or exclamation marks. Results are best in English because the common word list is English.
Will the summary change the meaning?
It keeps your original sentences, but dropping sentences can remove context. Read the summary and the original for anything important.
Is my text private?
Yes. The summary is created in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
