Frequently Asked Questions

Which citation styles are supported?

APA 7th edition, MLA 9th edition, Harvard, Chicago (bibliography entry) and IEEE.

How do I cite a website?

Choose Website, enter the page title, website name, publication date if there is one, and the URL. Add the date you accessed the page if your style asks for it.

What if a source has no author?

Leave the author fields empty. The citation will start with the title, which is the standard rule in most styles.

What if I do not know the publication date?

Leave the year empty. APA will show (n.d.) and Harvard will show (no date).

Are the citations always correct?

They follow the standard rules for each style, but special cases exist. Always check against your style guide or instructor.

Are my citations saved?

Your reference list is saved only in this browser, on this device. It is not sent to us.
