Frequently Asked Questions
What image size should I use?
1200 x 630 pixels, ratio 1.91 to 1, in JPG or PNG format and under 5 MB.
Is og:url required?
It is strongly recommended. Use the full canonical address of the page.
Do I need Twitter tags too?
X uses Open Graph tags if Twitter tags are missing, but twitter:card lets you choose the large image style, so it is a good idea.
How do I test my tags?
Use our Open Graph Checker after you publish the page.
Does it upload my image?
No. You enter the address of an image that is already online. Nothing is uploaded.
Why does my preview not change on Facebook?
Facebook keeps the old preview in cache. Use the Facebook Sharing Debugger and click Scrape Again.
